• Patent System in China (3 hrs); 
• Patentability Examination in China (3 hrs); 
• Re-examination, Invalidity proceedings in China and PCT (3 hrs); 
• UK and EP Patent System + Workshop (6 hrs); 
• Introduction to US Patent Law (3 hrs); 
• Assessment: Assignment (In class & take home) 

Module 2: HK Patent Law and Practice (12 hours)

• Hong Kong Patent Law (2 hrs);
• Standard Patent and application process (2 hrs);
• Short Term Patent and application process (2 hrs);
• Patent Infringement and cases (3 hrs);
• Workshops (3 hrs).
• Assessment: Assignment (In class / take home)

Module 3: HK Design and Copyright Law (12 hours)

• Registered Design Law in Hong Kong + Workshop (4 hrs);
• Copyright Law in Hong Kong + Workshop (4 hrs);
• Infringement of Copyright and Registered Design + Workshop (4 hrs);
• Assessment: Assignment (In class / take home)

Module 4: HK & PRC Trade Mark Law and Practice (12 hours)

• HK Trade Mark Registration and Procedures + Workshop (3 hrs);
• HK Trade Mark Infringement and Enforcement + Workshop (3 hrs);
• PRC Trade Mark Registration and Procedures + Workshop (3 hrs);
• PRC Trade Mark Infringement and Enforcement + Workshop (3 hrs);
• Assessment: Assignment (In class / take home)
